Eurogroup

An informal gathering of the ministers of economics and finance of the euro area Member States, at which they discuss issues connected with their shared responsibilities in respect of the single currency. The European Commission and the ECB are invited to take part in the meetings. The Eurogroup usually meets immediately before an Economic and Financial Affairs Council (Ecofin) meeting.

The Eurogroup is not an EU institution, body, office or agency.
