om indgaaelse af en aftale med Australien i henhold til artikel XXVIII , stk . 5 , i GATT

RAADET FOR DE EUROPAEISKE FAELLESSKABER HAR -

under henvisning til traktaten om oprettelse af Det europaeiske oekonomiske Faellesskab , saerlig artikel 111 , 114 og 128 ,

under henvisning til den faelles toldtarif for De europaeiske Faellesskaber ,

under henvisning til Raadets afgoerelse af 5 . december 1961 ,

under henvisning til beretning fra Kommissionen , og

ud fra foelgende betragtninger :

Australien har i henhold til bestemmelserne i artikel XXVIII , stk . 5 , i Den almindelige Overenskomst om Told og Udenrigshandel tilkendegivet sit oenske om at indlede tilbagetagelse af koncessioner vedroerende Det europaeiske oekonomiske Faellesskab ; denne tilbagetagelse har vaeret genstand for forhandlinger om kompensation ;

de koncessioner , der tilbydes af Australien som kompensation for tidligere koncessioner , er tilfredsstillende -

VEDTAGET FOELGENDE AFGOERELSE :

Artikel 1

Det europaeiske Faellesskab har med Australien indgaaet en aftale i henhold til artikel XXVIII , stk . 5 , i Den almindelige Overenskomst om Told og Udenrigshandel , og hvortil tekst foreligger som bilag til denne afgoerelse .

Artikel 2

Indgaaelsen af denne aftale skal meddeles til de kontraherende parter i Den almindelige Overenskomst om told og udenrigshandel .

Udfaerdiget i Luxembourg , den 15 . oktober 1968 .
