JURE case-law

JURE stands for jurisdiction, recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters.

In this section you can find relevant judgments on judicial cooperation in civil and commercial matters delivered by:

  • courts in the contracting states of the Lugano Convention (EU Member States*, Iceland, Norway and Switzerland), and
  • * including the United Kingdom until the end of the transition period on 31.12.2020, as provided for in the Withdrawal Agreement.
  • the Court of Justice of the European Union.

Judgments by national courts are available in their original language only, but:

  • some may also be accompanied by a summary in English, French and German (if the country in question provides one).
  • an automatic translation tool is available to translate judgments and summaries of judgments into any official EU language.
